Job Description
The Area Sales Manager role at PhonePe involves driving merchant acquisition and servicing within a specified geographical area through a team of Business Development Executives. PhonePe is India’s leading digital payments company. The role focuses on expanding PhonePe's presence in the offline business sector and increasing market share.

Responsibilities:
  • Grow merchant network through acquisition and servicing.
  • Drive quality in execution through audits and reviews.
  • Monitor competition and provide inputs to leadership.
  • Ensure brand visibility in the assigned territory.
  • Facilitate hiring, onboarding, and training of the sales team.
  • Monitor KPIs and coach team members.

Requirements:
  • MBA from Tier 2/3 campus with a good academic record.
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales managing a sales team.
  • Experience in Telecom, FMCG, or Retail (B2C preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service focus.
  • Field sales experience with a proven track record.
  • Problem-solving abilities and strong ethics.
