Job Description
PhonePe is seeking a Manager for Trust & Safety Analytics to join their team in Bangalore. This role involves leading major analytics projects to ensure platform safety and identify abusive behavior, as well as contributing to the development of new products and capabilities. The Manager will supervise and train a team of analysts, working closely with operations, product, and tech teams.

Role involves:
  • Supervising, leading & training a team of analysts.
  • Working closely with operations, Product, Tech teams.
  • Creating, managing, and utilizing high-performance relational databases.
  • Querying and mining large data sets to discover transaction patterns.
  • Developing fraud, risk, and abuse detection and mitigation methodologies.
  • Designing and developing user-defined application modules using BI tools.
  • Developing analysis on business problems and preparing complex materials for senior management.
  • Following industry best practices for Fraud Prevention.
  • Leveraging information from regulatory changes and internal policy changes.
  • Monitoring and regulating high-risk activities.
  • Identifying automation opportunities and suggesting process improvements.
  • Analyzing customer transactional and behavioral data.
  • Supporting ad-hoc reporting requirements.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s in engineering or Master's degree in Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Fraud and Risk Functions, technology, and analytics (Payment Industry experience preferred).
  • 6+ years of experience in analytics, preferably in identifying fraud patterns and customer risk profiling.
  • Strong quantitative abilities, problem-solving, and analytics skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Excellent SQL and Excel skills.
  • Data analytics project experience related to transaction monitoring, customer risk rating models, etc.
  • Working experience with BI tools (QlikView / Tableau/ QlikSense /PowerBI etc) will be an added advantage.
  • Strong background in statistical modeling and experience with tools such R /SAS /Python or SPSS.
  • Ability to work independently and to liaise with other departments and coordinate with various stakeholders.
