PhonePe Group is seeking a Manager - Controllership to join their Finance team in Bangalore. This role is crucial for managing the monthly book closure process and ensuring financial accuracy.

The Manager will oversee various aspects of financial operations, working closely with internal and external stakeholders. PhonePe prides itself on fostering a collaborative environment where employees are empowered to take ownership and contribute to impactful projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and overseeing the monthly book closure process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, income statement analysis, and variance analysis.
  • Supporting general ledger functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Coordinating with external & internal auditors and providing necessary documentation.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices.
  • Participating in system upgrades and implementations.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in SOP, process flow, policies write up
  • Managing a team of 3-4 members
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Understanding of accounting principles, Ind AS and financial reporting.
