Discord is seeking a Threat Operations Specialist to join their team in Australia. This role is crucial for understanding and mitigating harmful content, including child sexual abuse material, on the platform. The specialist will investigate complex threats, advance investigative capabilities, and develop innovative approaches to prevent harm to users, particularly minors. This position reports to the Threat Operations Manager and involves remote work within Australia. The role requires exposure to graphic and objectionable content.What this role involves:

• Reviewing and responding to sensitive content reports.
• Investigating complex cases to understand and attribute abuse.
• Preparing high-quality written reports for internal and external audiences, including law enforcement.
• Evaluating risks, threats, and user privacy in time-critical situations.
• Collaborating in responding to sensitive issues and sharing insights on minor safety.
• Proactively identifying undetected abuse using internal data and open-source intelligence.
• Responding to users experiencing safety-related issues and addressing their concerns.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in Trust and Safety moderation, including child safety content review.
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a high-tempo, sensitive environment.
• Exceptional communication skills.
