Job Description
Critical Mass is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Director to lead and mentor their web development team in San Jose. This role is pivotal in the successful delivery of large-scale commercial websites and web applications. The Technical Director will act as a key technical and business leader within web development initiatives.
The role involves:
- Providing effective leadership and collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Serving as a strong representative of the web development team.
- Mentoring and guiding junior and senior web development tech leads.
- Contributing to solution approaches and estimations for web development projects.
- Creating and reviewing architectural diagrams and flow charts for web applications.
- Providing technical leadership in Java development and RESTful web services.
- Leveraging Java Frameworks such as object mappers, Sling, JCR, Guice, and Spring.
- Utilizing and managing Git/Bitbucket for version control.
- Working effectively with Atlassian project management tools.
- Ensuring cross-browser compatibility and adherence to W3C Web Standards.
Requirements include:
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead or in a similar leadership role within web development.
- Solid experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) architecture.
- Strong technical background in Java development and RESTful web services.
- Deep understanding of key Java Frameworks.
- Extensive knowledge of front-end web technologies including HTML, CSS, Vanilla JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with Git/Bitbucket for version control.
- Familiarity with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).
- Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility and W3C Web Standards.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
