Job Description
Blackbird Health is seeking a Director of Medical Services to oversee the medical aspects of their behavioral health services. This role is crucial for ensuring high-quality clinical services that meet patient needs. The Director will lead and manage a team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and other medical professionals.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership and management to the medical team.
- Managing the medical services team administratively and clinically.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of evidence-based treatment plans.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals and support staff.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with outside medical providers.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Assisting with recruitment and onboarding of new medical staff.
Requirements:
- Psychiatric Mental Health NP with an active license in Virginia and Pennsylvania.
- At least 3 years of experience in an administrative or leadership role in behavioral health.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices in psychiatry.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and growing environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to behavioral health services.
