Job Description
Rocket Lab is seeking a Global Commercial Launch Services Director to be based in Littleton, CO. This role is responsible for capturing commercial revenue to enable Rocket Lab’s sustained operations and growth. The Director will oversee key commercial customer accounts, including Electron and Neutron launch vehicles, and Dedicated, Primary Rideshare, and Rideshare launch services.Role involves:- Developing and overseeing the Global Commercial Launch Services strategy, business development, and sales.
- Supporting Global Launch Services commercial quote and proposal development.
- Executing winning strategies to rapidly grow new commercial business worldwide.
- Utilizing professional network, business development techniques, and product knowledge to market launch services.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to formulate strategy for aerospace industry conferences and networking events.
- Developing marketing materials such as presentations, user guides, and website content.
- Identifying and capturing new customer accounts.
- Converting leads to quotes by leveraging industry-leading tools (i.e., Salesforce CRM) and drafting Launch Service Agreements (LSAs).
- Coordinating mission performance requirements with technical teams.
- Maintaining updated satellite market analysis and informing senior leadership and technical teams of any relevant trends or changes.
- Hosting important customers during strategic company events, launches, and press announcements.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business discipline.
- 12+ years of experience in the aerospace industry.
- Experience with proposal development and business capture.
- Must be able to travel 50% domestically and internationally.
