Associate Underwriter-Personal Lines

Job Description

Jencap is seeking a Personal Lines Associate Underwriter to review, market, and price new and renewal applications. The Associate Underwriter will support underwriters and agents, ensuring delivery and servicing of accounts. This role involves risk selection, analysis, and building relationships with agents. The candidate will communicate with clients, underwriters, and internal staff to obtain information and quote rates. They will also connect with carrier underwriters to learn coverage and guidelines, maintain a renewal book of business, and address workload within established standards.

• Reviewing, marketing, and pricing new and renewal applications
• Supporting underwriters and agents
• Performing risk selection and analysis
• Building relationships with agents
• Communicating with clients and underwriters

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 1-3 years of similar related job experience in the insurance industry
• Functional knowledge of product offerings, insurance concepts, practices and procedures
• Strong communication skills and drive for customer excellence
