Job Description
Schrödinger is seeking an Applications Scientist to enhance human health through advanced computational methods. The Applications Scientist will train customers on molecular modeling suites, provide scientific support, and address drug discovery challenges, focusing on advancing Schrödinger’s modeling capabilities for RNA and DNA. This role involves methodological scientific research and advising customers on best practices for computational modeling. The position can be based in Mannheim, Munich, or remotely in the UK.

What this role involves:
  • Providing scientific support to customers.
  • Demonstrating optimal use of life science software suites.
  • Facilitating interactions between customers and product development teams.
  • Engaging in cutting-edge methodological scientific research.
  • Publishing scientific papers and presenting at conferences.

Requirements:
  • PhD in computational chemistry, bioinformatics, structural biology, or a related field.
  • Deep scientific expertise in the modeling of nucleic acids (RNA/DNA).
  • Experience in molecular dynamics simulations, ligand-based drug design, or quantum mechanics.
  • Understanding of the commercial drug discovery process.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
