Job Description
Schrödinger is seeking an Applications Scientist to enhance human health via advanced computational methods. The role focuses on supporting and training customers in using Schrödinger's molecular modeling suites, particularly in RNA and DNA therapeutic applications. The Applications Scientist will engage in scientific research, advise customers, and publish papers. This position can be based remotely in the UK (Greater London or the South East).

What this role involves:
  • Providing scientific support to customers.
  • Demonstrating optimal use of software suites.
  • Facilitating interactions between customers and product development teams.
  • Engaging in methodological scientific research.
  • Advising customers on computational modeling best practices.
  • Publishing scientific papers and presenting at conferences.

Requirements:
  • PhD in computational chemistry, bioinformatics, structural biology, or a related field.
  • Deep scientific expertise in modeling nucleic acids (RNA/DNA).
  • Experience in molecular dynamics simulations, ligand-based drug design, or quantum mechanics.
  • Solid understanding of the commercial drug discovery process.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
