Job Description

Pismo is seeking a Senior Systems Architect to join their team of Engineering Leaders. This role is responsible for driving the technology architecture, strategy, and roadmap for Pismo, collaborating with stakeholders across sales, product, engineering, and key customers. The Senior Systems Architect will operate as a horizontal function, supporting teams by building a deep understanding of products, sales pipelines, and customer challenges.

The role involves balancing priorities between tactical needs and driving long-term technology strategy. The Senior Systems Architect will also address tactical needs for Pismo’s engineering community and customer demands.

Responsibilities:

Leads the development of the overall technology architecture, addressing performance, scalability, security, resilience and cost optimization.
Collaborates with other teams to address critical technical challenges, provide guidance and educate engineers on the best practices.
Works alongside engineering teams to review critical/ significant changes and how it impacts the product and platform architecture.
Understands the developments in the technology landscape to embrace new ideas that improve our product and customer experience by creating strategies to adopt such technologies.
Publishes papers, blogs, present in internal and public conferences to demonstrate Pismo’s technology leadership, and innovative approach to solving hard engineering problems.
Implements company wide learning opportunities via brown-bag sessions, All-Hands, bootcamps and hackathons.
