Systems Architect

Job Description

Pismo is seeking a Systems Architect to drive the technology architecture, strategy, and roadmap for the company. The Systems Architect will collaborate with stakeholders in sales, product, engineering, and key customers. They will operate as a horizontal function to support the stakeholders across the teams, building a deep understanding of the products, sales pipeline, and customer challenges to prioritize their workload.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with other teams to maintain the overall technology architecture, addressing performance, scalability, security, resilience and cost optimization.
• Collaborates with other teams to provide guidance and educate engineers on the best practices.
• Work alongside engineering teams to review critical/ significant changes and how it impacts the product and platform architecture.
• Understand the developments in the technology landscape to embrace new ideas that improve our product and customer experience by developing proof of concept to address current and future needs of our customers.
• Collaborate on publishing papers, blogs, present in internal and public conferences to demonstrate Pismo’s technology leadership, and innovative approach to solving hard engineering problems.
• Implement company wide learning opportunities via brown-bag sessions, All-Hands, bootcamps and hackathons.

Requirements:

• Must be based in Austin/Texas
• Experience with Cloud Platform
• Experience with System Development
• Experience with Automation/scripting/IaC
