Rush Street Interactive is seeking a Senior Server Engineer to contribute to the development of impactful products. The ideal candidate will possess strong Java skills and experience in building scalable web applications. This role involves leading complex features, collaborating with Product Owners, and designing efficient solutions. The Senior Server Engineer will also maintain high-quality standards, drive technical roadmaps, and diagnose complex issues.What This Role Involves:

• Leading the development of complex features from scoping to delivery.
• Collaborating with Product Owners to transform requirements into actionable plans.
• Designing and implementing efficient, scalable, and testable solutions.
• Maintaining high-quality standards through code reviews and mentoring.
• Driving technical roadmaps and initiatives to improve architecture and performance.
• Diagnosing and solving complex issues and implementing automated tests.
• Working with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL databases.

What Rush Street Interactive is Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with strong expertise in Java and web applications.
• Proven experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and tools like Hibernate and JPA.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and deployment tools (Git, Jenkins, Gradle).
• Strong database knowledge (Oracle, SQL, PostgreSQL).
• Ability to transform requirements into actionable plans and identify technical risks.
• Collaborative mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Professional English proficiency level is a MUST.
