Fund Accountant, Asset Management

Galaxy is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their Asset Management team in New York. This role offers the opportunity to work across various fund types, including hedge funds, venture capital funds, fund of funds, and public ETF products. The Fund Accountant will also gain exposure to middle office operations. Galaxy is a digital asset and blockchain leader helping institutions, startups, and individuals access and navigate the crypto economy.

Role Involves:
• Reviewing daily, monthly, and quarterly fund accounting packages and investor reporting.
• Reconciling capital activity and managing fund cash and expenses.
• Communicating with the Portfolio Manager and investment team.
• Assisting in valuation processes and trade settlements.
• Supporting product development and fund launches.
• Collaborating with internal legal/compliance and the fund administrator.

Requirements:
• 1-5 years of experience in public or private accounting, ideally with hedge funds or private equity/venture capital funds.
• Experience coordinating with third-party fund administrators.
• Strong excel skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
