Finance Engineer

Galaxy is seeking a Finance Engineer to join their Financial Engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the Finance team's technical needs are met. This involves identifying key issues impacting the business, supporting, maintaining, and optimizing existing systems. The role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and finance within a fast-paced, impact-driven environment.

The Finance Engineer will be responsible for:

• Providing first-line support to internal clients, addressing queries, and resolving issues.
• Collaborating with the Finance Engineering team to maintain and enhance existing solutions.
• Working with internal clients to develop new solutions.
• Contributing to new Finance Engineering initiatives.

Galaxy is looking for candidates who have:

• Experience communicating and providing first-line support for business clients.
• 3+ years of programming experience in Python (working knowledge of Pandas/PySpark).
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with AWS (S3, Secrets, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and navigate unfamiliar challenges independently.
