Senior Back End Developer

Job Description

Galaxy is seeking a Senior Back End Developer to join their team and contribute to an exciting new business initiative. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize robust, scalable software back ends that power web and mobile applications for a new product offering. This role involves collaborating with front-end, product, and infrastructure teams to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the platforms.

• Designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance back-end systems, APIs, and databases.
• Fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Collaborating with front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps teams.
• Architecting scalable, secure, and efficient server-side solutions.
• Implementing best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Staying current with emerging technologies and trends in back-end development, blockchain, and fintech.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of experience in back-end development, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Hands-on development experience in Node, Express, TypeScript and related frameworks like Nest.js.
• Strong experience with SQL and some exposure to NoSQL.
• Experience with Microservices and Event based architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience in using Caching and Messaging Queues like Kafka.
• Experience using Postman and Git / Bitbucket.
