Senior Front End Developer

Job Description

Galaxy is seeking a Senior Front End Developer to be a primary developer and leader within a small team working on an exciting new initiative. The Senior Front End Developer will spearhead the development of intuitive, high-performance user interfaces for Galaxy's web and mobile apps, ensuring a seamless user experience. He will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and optimize front-end solutions while mentoring junior developers. His role will also involve conducting code reviews, implementing new features, and maintaining cross-system compatibility to meet Galaxy's high standards.What this role involves:

• Designing, developing, and optimizing responsive, user-centric web and mobile app interfaces using modern front-end technologies.
• Working closely with a team of front-end developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborating with product managers, UI/UX designers, and back-end engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensuring the scalability, security, and accessibility of front-end applications, adhering to fintech industry standards and regulations.
• Driving the adoption of best practices, code reviews, and testing strategies to maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Staying ahead of emerging trends in front-end development and fintech to recommend and implement innovative solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of experience in front-end development of both web and mobile applications, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Experience working in high-growth software startup(s).
• Industry experience in fintech or financial software.
• Proficiency in modern frameworks such as React and React Native.
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
