Job Description

Galaxy is seeking a Vice President for Controls Assurance & SOC Oversight to join their Enterprise Risk & Controls team. This role is based in New York, NY. The VP will be responsible for the overall Galaxy SOC portfolio, enacting processes, and performing internal testing to ensure effective control performance. They will also coordinate SOC activities between the business and external SOC auditor.About GalaxyGalaxy is a digital asset and blockchain leader focused on helping institutions, startups, and individuals access the crypto economy. They offer platform solutions across Global Markets, Asset Management, and Digital Infrastructure Solutions.Role Involves:

• Assisting businesses with defining the scope and assessing controls readiness for SOC reports.
• Drafting SOC reports, including system descriptions and control descriptions.
• Collaborating with process and control owners to evaluate the design and effectiveness of SOC controls.
• Identifying and documenting control gaps and assisting with remediation.
• Maintaining documentation of Galaxy’s SOC control environment.
• Coordinating with SOC auditors throughout the testing and reporting lifecycle.
• Tracking program status and issues, reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk.
• Providing support to broader Risk & Control team initiatives.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience managing and auditing SOC1 reports for service organizations in financial services and/or digital assets.
• Ability to manage multiple teams with competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Deep knowledge of risk & controls and technology.
• Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills in a nascent industry.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• High proficiency with Excel and Visio.
• Experience interacting with external auditors, regulators, and/or internal audit departments.
