Senior Network Engineer

Job Description

Galaxy is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to contribute to the design, construction, and maintenance of nationwide and global trading networks. The Senior Network Engineer will report to IT management and collaborate with the network engineering team on new and existing networking projects. This role involves network and security management, emergency response, and the deployment of new technologies to improve cost savings and productivity.Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating on networking projects
• Working with infrastructure and trading support teams
• Maintaining and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls
• Conducting network performance and scalability testing
• Creating support documentation and reports
• Improving network monitoring tools
• Working with carriers on circuit issues

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related field
• Experience with Arista/Cisco, routing/switching, OSPF/BGP, and low latency network designs
• In-depth knowledge of multicast routing
• Experience with WAN/Carrier technologies
• 5+ years of experience in low-latency trading networks
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platform networks
