Solana Blockchain Engineer - Vice President

Job Description

Galaxy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solana Blockchain Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial for designing, building, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure and systems related to Galaxy's blockchain participation and custody offerings. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements in infrastructure, monitoring, system automation, and incident response.Responsibilities include identifying and implementing solutions to enhance operational capabilities, developing strategic insights for leadership, and staying updated with emerging trends in the web3/blockchain space. The engineer will also debug complex distributed blockchains and protocols, implement monitoring tools, and participate in on-call rotations.What This Role Involves:

• Designing, building, and maintaining blockchain infrastructure.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve infrastructure and monitoring.
• Identifying and implementing automation solutions.
• Developing strategic insights for leadership.
• Debugging complex blockchain protocols.
• Implementing monitoring and observability tools.
• Participating in on-call rotations.

Requirements:

• Prior software engineering or application development experience.
• Ability to script in Python, Perl, or bash.
• Experience with blockchain infrastructure or strong knowledge of the blockchain domain.
• Familiarity with compute-infrastructure systems, tooling, and debugging strategies.
• Troubleshooting expertise of complex application flows.
• Working knowledge of Linux systems and command-line tooling.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Conceptual knowledge of security best practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
