Solana Protocol Engineer - Associate/Vice President

Galaxy is seeking a Solana Protocol Engineer to join their Blockchain Engineering Team in London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing validator nodes, enhancing automation workflows, monitoring network performance, and implementing robust security measures. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure seamless validator operations.

What this role involves:

• Designing, building, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure and systems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements.
• Identifying and implementing solutions to improve infrastructure operation.
• Developing a present and forward-looking view of the domain and its application to the business.
• Continuously researching emerging trends in the web3/blockchain space.
• Identifying, scoping, and building new product opportunities.
• Debugging complex distributed blockchains and protocols.
• Implementing monitoring and observability tools.
• Participating in on-call rotations.

Requirements:

• Prior software engineering or application development experience.
• Ability to script in a high-level scripting language.
• Experience with blockchain infrastructure or strong knowledge of the blockchain domain.
• Familiarity with compute-infrastructure systems, tooling, and debugging strategies.
• Working knowledge of Linux systems and system performance optimization.
• Expertise in cloud platforms and virtualization technologies.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Conceptual knowledge of security best practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
