VP, Senior Product Security Engineer

Job Description

Galaxy is seeking a VP, Senior Product Security Engineer to secure microservices and cloud applications. The engineer will assess advanced trading systems and blockchain architectures, facilitate remediations, and report to the Director of Product Security. They will collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Infrastructure teams to deliver secure software solutions.Role involves:

• Participating in secure software design and code reviews.
• Developing and reviewing test plans for security coverage.
• Mitigating findings, assessing impacts, and providing technical guidance.
• Providing expertise on cloud application and infrastructure security design patterns.
• Offering training and thought leadership for secure software development practices.
• Reviewing and improving implementations of authentication, authorization, and data access.
• Researching and collaborating on advanced security patterns.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or post-graduate diploma in cybersecurity or technology.
• 5 years of experience in product security, application security, cloud security, or software development of security features.
• Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and controls review.
• Proficiency in programming languages.
• Experience managing SAST, DAST, SCA, and assisting software engineers with vulnerability mitigation.
• In-depth understanding of authentication, authorization, TLS, PKI, network security, cloud security, and system security.
• Strong analysis, detail orientation, and strategic thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
