Job Description
PagerDuty is seeking a Strategic Growth Account Executive to sell SaaS products to Enterprise accounts. This role reports to a Regional Sales Director and requires a dynamic sales professional with a consultative approach and a knack for driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will manage a pipeline of new business expansion opportunities within existing accounts, delivering results against sales targets. The territory consists of strategic Global 2000 accounts, focusing on approximately 6 accounts. The role involves aligning PagerDuty's operations cloud story to different stakeholders.Responsibilities:
  • Value Selling: Highlighting the unique value and benefits of PagerDuty's products and services.
  • Sales Effectiveness: Establishing and maintaining genuine connections with customers.
  • Negotiating positive business outcomes with existing customers.
  • Managing and closing complex, multi-product sales cycles for Fortune 500 accounts.
  • Conducting effective conversations with senior-level executives.
  • Delivering strong presentations, customizing content for internal and external audiences.
  • Sales Execution: Ensuring accuracy and completeness of work and information.
  • Planning: Mapping out territory assignment and priority account targets.
  • Prospecting: Leveraging marketing and alliance programs to develop new opportunities.
  • Creating effective strategies and qualifying opportunities within accounts.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of field sales experience, preferably in software/SaaS sales.
  • 6+ years of experience expanding into new areas of existing accounts.
  • Strategic Account Management experience with Fortune 500 companies.
  • Experience selling to C-level executives.
  • Experience in a multi-product selling environment.
  • Travel expectations around 30%.
  • Effective time management, complex deal management, account planning, and analytical skills.
  • Consistent track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Self-sufficient with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Previous Sales Methodology training (e.g., MEDDIC, SPIN, Command of Message, Challenger Sales).
