Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior GNC Engineer to contribute to the development of the Neutron rocket. This role involves designing, implementing, testing, and validating Guidance, Navigation, and Control systems. The engineer will also work on trajectory design, auto-sequence planning, physical systems modelling, Monte Carlo analysis, and launch operations.
    Role Involves:
  • Design, implementation, testing, and validation of GNC systems for the Neutron rocket.

    Requirements:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ launch vehicle or spacecraft dynamics and modelling experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience developing in C/C++.
  • 5+ years’ experience developing in Python or MATLAB.
  • Understanding of rigid and flexible body dynamics.
  • Knowledge of orbital mechanics and closed-loop control systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
