Job Description
Smartsheet is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to drive sales within a defined set of Global 2000 accounts. The Account Executive will play a leadership role in executing the Strategic Accounts sales strategy, focusing on executive engagement and delivering substantial growth through software and services bookings. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding quota, a positive attitude, and strong accountability.This role involves:
  • Consistently exceeding quarterly and annual software and services sales quotas
  • Effectively forecasting and managing a diverse pipeline
  • Providing account and selling team leadership
  • Creating and maintaining actionable account plans
  • Collaborating with internal cross-functional experts and external partners
  • Driving a positive customer experience
  • Actively engaging and selling to Line of Business (LOB), Functional Areas and IT departments
  • Leveraging MEDDICC during the sales process
  • Building and maintaining relationships with VP+, C-suite executives and key decision-makers
  • Utilizing data and PLG signals to drive sales strategies and decisions
Requirements include:
  • Proven experience in enterprise (G2K), complex software solution sales
  • 5-10+ Years of Enterprise sales experience
  • Track record of consistently exceeding quota
  • Minimum of 3+ years tenure in previous roles
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, build demand and hunt in a defined territory
  • Strong experience in team-based strategic account planning, development and execution
  • Executive presence with proven ability to engage with VP+ and C-suite executives
  • Strong desire for face-to-face customer engagement and willingness to travel (30%-50%)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
