Smartsheet, a company that provides work management and automation solutions, is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to drive sales within a defined set of Global 2000 accounts. The role involves leading the execution of the Strategic Accounts sales strategy, driving executive engagement, and delivering substantial growth in software and services bookings. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding quota, a positive attitude, and strong integrity.Responsibilities include:
- Exceeding quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Managing a diverse pipeline and achieving performance metrics
- Providing account and selling team leadership
- Creating and maintaining actionable account plans
- Collaborating with internal experts and external partners
- Driving a positive customer experience
- Selling to Line of Business, Functional Areas and IT departments
- Leveraging MEDDICC during the sales process
- Building relationships with VP+ and C-suite executives
- Evangelizing the value of Smartsheet
- Utilizing data and PLG signals to drive sales strategies
Requirements include:
- Proven experience in enterprise software solution sales
- 5-10+ years of enterprise sales experience
- Track record of consistently exceeding quota
- Minimum of 3+ years tenure in previous roles
- Demonstrated ability to prospect and build demand
- Strong experience in strategic account planning
- Experience with a value selling methodology
- Executive presence and ability to engage with VP+ and C-suite executives
- Willingness to travel (30%-50%)
- Strong presentation skills
- Data-driven approach
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- High emotional intelligence and mental agility
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
