Job Description
Smartsheet is seeking a Large Enterprise Solutions Engineer to provide technical leadership during the enterprise sales process. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, offering expertise to ensure successful Smartsheet deployment and adoption. This role involves partnering with enterprise sales executives, providing guidance to prospects and current users, and designing creative solutions using Smartsheet.Responsibilities:
  • Partner with enterprise sales executives to sell Smartsheet’s SaaS platform.
  • Provide advice and guidance as the Smartsheet subject matter expert.
  • Design and develop creative solutions to customer requirements.
  • Represent Smartsheet’s technical capabilities to prospects.
  • Travel to enterprise customer sites and engage with customer IT professionals.
  • Develop deep Smartsheet relevance for key functional areas.
  • Serve as front-line expert for “best practice” and prospect technical issues.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Product Management.
  • Provide support for preparing technical responses to prospect questions.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Sales Engineer in the SaaS and/or enterprise software industry.
  • Passion for working with web-based technologies.
  • Experience creating MS Excel-based solutions.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly build credibility and resolve customer technical issues.
  • Experience in a complex, solution-based enterprise sales process.
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
