Sr. Data Scientist II

Job Description

Smartsheet is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to enhance growth and customer retention through Applied AI and advanced analytics. The Senior Data Scientist will partner with Sales and Customer Success teams to understand their goals and execute opportunities to draw relevant insights and drive tangible impact. They will be part of Smartsheet's Data Science & Business Intelligence team.

The role involves:

• Developing and implementing machine learning-based Cross-sell/Upsell models and Product Recommender models.
• Building and deploying predictive models for Customer Churn.
• Driving the full analytics lifecycle from understanding the business objective to developing automated reporting and visualizations.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into business processes.
• Presenting analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Driving a data culture within the Go To Market teams.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience (or 10+ years of experience).
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience in Applied AI, machine learning, statistics, propensity modeling, churn prediction, and recommender systems.
• Proficient analytical skills for problem-solving.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R.
• Proficient in SQL and skilled in visualization tools (ex. Tableau).
• Experience using data to meaningfully impact Sales & Customer Success strategy execution.
• Ability to research and learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
