Rocket Lab is seeking an Integrated Operations Engineer II to join their team in Auckland, New Zealand. This role involves integrated testing and operations for Rocket Lab's major products, including Electron, Space Systems, and Neutron Products. The Engineer II will be responsible for the configuration, checkout, and operation of test and launch facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. Testing and operations may be conducted remotely or on-site at various locations. The Integrated Operations Engineer II at Rocket Lab will:
- Direct other operators during testing and operations.
- Mentor and train other operators.
- Take a leadership/ownership role in Integrated Operations projects and process/tool development efforts.
Requirements for this role include:
- Aerospace, mechanical, electrical, mechatronic engineering degree or equivalent.
- 2-3+ years of experience in engineering design, test and/or operations.
- Ability to read, understand and follow detailed schematics, drawings, and instructions.
- Self-driven, motivated, and contagiously positive attitude.
- Proven communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Careful work ethic with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
