Job Description
Tekion is seeking a Senior Product Manager - Data Governance to enhance data quality, governance, and compliance within its BI Reporting Team. The role involves establishing governance frameworks, ensuring high data standards, and improving data accuracy, security, and accessibility. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed governance best practices, define and monitor data quality metrics, and set up data catalogs for compliance. They will also partner with IT, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure regulatory adherence and act as a subject matter expert on data governance strategies and tools.
Role Involves:
- Developing and implementing data governance policies.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Defining and monitoring data quality metrics and KPIs.
- Setting up data catalogs and metadata management.
- Partnering with IT, Security, and Compliance teams.
- Leveraging tools and technologies like SQL, Pandas Profiling, and Python.
- Acting as a subject matter expert on data governance strategies and tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data governance, data quality management, or BI reporting roles.
- Knowledge of data governance tools such as Collibra, OpenMetadata, DataHub, and Informatica.
- Proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience in data profiling tools (e.g., Pandas Profiling).
- Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, privacy laws, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience in measuring and reporting on data quality KPIs.
