Job Description
Flow Traders is seeking an experienced IT Procurement Specialist to join their Procurement team in Amsterdam. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a leading proprietary trading firm known for its entrepreneurial and innovative culture. The ideal candidate will understand the Procure to Pay process and be capable of independently managing high-impact assignments. They should be a proactive self-starter with a natural curiosity, eager to shape procurement excellence.
Responsibilities include:
  • Understanding Flow Traders' unique market positioning and procurement needs.
  • Independently completing procure-to-pay activities, including processing purchase requests, vendor enrollment, generating purchase orders, contract uploads, and invoice management.
  • Leading sourcing activities, negotiations, and contract awards while managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Acting as a facilitator and building solid relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Driving individual projects directed towards the team’s overall strategy.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years' experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, ideally in a FinTech environment.
  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Expert level knowledge of commercial markets and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to make decisions, cope under pressure, and adapt to changing situations.
  • Advanced understanding of IT Services and SaaS business models.
  • Strong English communication skills; Dutch communication skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of EU financial compliances and regulations (DORA, EBA, AFM, ESG) is a plus.
  • Experience with different iterations of ERP & Procurement systems is a plus.
