Network Engineer

Flow Traders is seeking a Network Engineer to join its Technology team in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will be curious, innovative, and passionate about technology. The Network Engineer will safeguard the continuity of trading systems, monitor and optimize systems, and drive innovations. He/She will maintain and improve the existing network, manage infrastructures, develop contingency plans, and provide support to internal teams. Frequent contact with stakeholders is expected, along with proactively seeking ways to optimize performance.Responsibilities:

• Safeguarding the continuity of trading systems infrastructure.
• Monitoring and optimising systems.
• Driving innovations in network and system optimisation.
• Maintaining and improving the existing network infrastructure.
• Managing infrastructures and developing contingency plans.
• Providing support to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT support/optimization/deployments.
• Experience with support electronic trading systems within capital markets firm or equivalent industry (APAC regional knowledge).
• Strong knowledge of Cisco & Arista technologies.
• Experience with Unix/Linux command line and networking stack.
• Hands-on scripting experience (Bash/Shell, Python and Salt).
• Network related certification (example CCNP) is a plus.
• Knowledge in Cloud platform environments (AWS and GCP).
• Knowledge of Data Center and cabling standards.
