Rocket Lab is seeking an Avionic Integration Technician to join their Vehicle Integration team in Auckland, New Zealand. The technician will be responsible for installing avionic and mechanical components, wiring harnesses, and high voltage batteries onto the Electron launch vehicle. This role requires a versatile skillset and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Role Involves: - Installing avionic and mechanical components.
- Installing wiring harnesses.
- Installing high voltage batteries.
- Working with tools and equipment to build, launch, or test Rocket Lab launch vehicles.
- Contributing to the overall production and launch schedule.
Requirements: - Trade qualification in a relevant industry.
- 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with precision avionic and mechanical assembly.
- Comfortable with high precision crimping, soldering, and harness termination tasks.
- Comfortable working to exacting standards, including cleanliness for oxygen service.
- Sound understanding of standard industry ESD.
- Good level of eyesight and ability to inspect assemblies to a high workmanship standard.
- Ability to manufacture components to a high workmanship standard.
