Rocket Lab is seeking a Vehicle Integration Technician - Avionics to join their team in Auckland, New Zealand. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing avionic and mechanical components, wiring harnesses, and high voltage batteries onto the Electron launch vehicle.

The Role Involves:

  • Installing avionic and mechanical components
  • Installing wiring harnesses
  • Installing high voltage batteries
  • Working with tools and equipment
  • Contributing to the production and launch schedule

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification in a relevant industry
  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with precision avionic and mechanical assembly
  • Comfortable with high precision crimping, soldering, and harness termination tasks
  • Comfortable working to exacting standards, including cleanliness for oxygen service
  • Sound understanding of standard industry ESD
  • Good eyesight and ability to inspect assemblies to a high workmanship standard
  • Ability to manufacture components to a high workmanship standard
