Engineering Manager Java H/F

Job Description

Mirakl is seeking an Engineering Manager Java to join their Connect teams. This role is based in Bordeaux, France. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the design, construction, adoption, and success of the product. They will manage a team of 4-5 developers and 1 tester, distributed between Bordeaux, Paris, and remote locations in France. Mirakl is a leading provider of platform economy solutions, helping businesses transform their e-commerce and accelerate growth.Role involves:

• Animating and monitoring the team
• Managing one-to-one meetings and performance reviews
• Tracking career development and training needs
• Maintaining team cohesion and motivation
• Taking ownership of certain stories
• Leading code reviews
• Designing, developing, testing, and deploying code
• Developing roadmaps with R&D members
• Interacting with other leads to coordinate priorities and projects
• Serving as the point of contact with product and design teams on user story management
• Ensuring the team meets its commitments in terms of velocity and quality
• Intervening in case of roadblocks or project arbitrations
• Ensuring the upskilling of each team member
• Developing a successful onboarding process for new developers
• Identifying and developing talent
• Contributing to recruitment within and outside the team
• Establishing best practices for clean code, testing, production releases, and pair programming

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in team management and 5 years of Java development experience
• Proven management skills with strong listening and communication abilities
• A balance between close management and empowering team autonomy
• Strong technical skills in Java, Spring, SQL, cloud, and microservices
• A desire to stay hands-on with code and contribute technically to projects
• Professional English proficiency
