Rocket Lab is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II - Avionics to join their team in Auckland, New Zealand. This role involves supporting the production team to achieve the required production rates with high quality. The Manufacturing Engineer II will focus on developing improvements to the production process within a high-growth, high-consequence production environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Taking ownership of production lines.
  • Removing production blockers.
  • Understanding vehicle risks.
  • Improving manufacturing processes and products to improve build rate and product yield.
  • Developing new products and processes through prototyping, testing, and integration.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Experience with electrical hardware systems, PCBA Assemblies, or instrumentation and control systems.
  • Experience designing and debugging electrical test infrastructure or automated test systems.
  • Experience developing basic automation or data analysis scripting in Python, C or similar.
  • Hands-on technical experience debugging complex electrical or software systems within a production environment.
  • Proven ability to deliver engineering projects with little to no supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven risk assessment and risk-based decision-making skills.
