Job Description
Jumio is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test I (SDET - I) to ensure the quality and performance of its web and backend applications. This role involves designing and implementing automated tests for web and API-based solutions, utilizing Java or JavaScript. The SDET - I will collaborate with development and product teams to maintain high standards of quality and reliability. Jumio values innovation and a problem-solving mindset.
Role Involves:
- Developing and maintaining test automation frameworks and scripts for web and API testing.
- Designing and implementing test strategies, test cases, and plans.
- Automating API testing to validate performance and functionality.
- Performing regression testing and identifying bugs.
- Collaborating with developers for comprehensive test coverage and issue resolution.
- Continuously improving test automation processes, tools, and techniques.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ months of experience in test automation for web and API applications.
- Proficiency in Java or JavaScript programming languages.
- Hands-on experience with web testing frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent tools.
- Experience with API automation tools (e.g., Postman, REST-assured) and a good understanding of REST APIs.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems and scripting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
