Senior DevOps Engineer

saas.group is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Central DevOps Team. saas.group is a company focused on acquiring and developing B2B SaaS ventures. The DevOps Team manages saas.group's central infrastructure and consults with its brands.

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for creating solutions, supervising progress, and assisting brands with infrastructure-related projects. This role involves leading infrastructure projects, automating aspects of the infrastructure, and ensuring high availability and security.

The position is fully remote within Europe, offering flexibility and autonomy within a small, friendly team.

Responsibilities:

• Leading and performing infrastructure-related projects for saas.group brands
• Assisting saas.group brands in their day-to-day infrastructure tasks
• Automating various aspects in the infrastructure
• Cooperating with dev team to ensure the high level of availability, stability and security for all applications
• Performing cloud costs optimizations
• Performing on call duties and incident management best practices

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as DevOps / Platform Engineer or SRE
• Good practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Comfortable with a couple of cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, Heroku, Digital Ocean, Hetzner)
• Knowledge of commercial log and observability services or self-hosted tools
• Experience with Cloudflare
• Experience with Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ
• Experience with IaC tools (preferably Terraform)
• Familiar with CI/CD concepts and methodologies
• Experience with Linux
• Experience in Relational and non-relational databases
• Ability to code in any modern scripting language (Python, Ruby, etc)
• Knowledge about security best practices
• Experience with Git tools
• Outstanding communication, stakeholder management skills and a consultative approach
