Rocket Lab is seeking a CNC Programmer to join their Machine Shop in Auckland. The Machine Shop is responsible for advanced machinery across global manufacturing sites. The CNC Programmer will produce quality machined parts, maximize production and machine utilization, develop smart machining methods, and provide manufacturing advice to engineers.

The role involves:

  • CAM programming, toolpath simulation, and post-processing.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Machine setting.
  • Proving safety and accuracy of programs.
  • In-process part inspection and measurements.

The candidate should have:

  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • CAM based programming skills.

Ideally, the candidate would also have:

  • High level of workmanship.
  • Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, and Mitsubishi CNC controls.
  • Manual machining skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and record keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver against deadlines.
  • Adherence to standardized processes.
