Job Description
Archer Aviation is seeking a highly experienced Staff SAP Basis Engineer to manage and optimize its SAP S/4HANA environment. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of SAP systems, and involves collaborating with external partners and internal teams.Archer Aviation is based in San Jose, California and is building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility.Responsibilities:
  • Lead SAP S/4HANA upgrades, including planning, execution, and validation.
  • Oversee daily SAP Basis operations, ensuring system availability and performance.
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve SAP-related technical issues efficiently.
  • Partner with external service providers, vendors, and internal teams to manage SAP environments.
  • Implement SAP security best practices in collaboration with the Security and Compliance teams.
Requirements:
  • 12–15 years of experience as an SAP Basis Engineer specializing in SAP S/4HANA (1809–2023).
  • Hands-on experience in managing SAP environments on HEC, ECS, or RISE.
  • Strong expertise in SAP upgrade management.
  • Experience in SAP Basis operations, performance tuning, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with SAP security, compliance, and GRC tools.
