Job Description
Zip is seeking a Senior Product Designer I to lead the end-to-end design of product enhancements for its mobile app. This role is focused on customer repayments and involves working with cross-functional teams to improve design processes and influence the organization. The position is remote-first for US-based employees, with an option to work in the NYC Manhattan office.
Responsibilities:
- Design clean, simple, and beautiful UI across our mobile app.
- Create flows and experiences that are simple, elegant, and delightful.
- Deliver well-documented and comprehensive designs for seamless handoff.
- Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into useful and valuable products.
- Give and solicit feedback from other designers.
- Help shape our design team operations.
- Partner closely with PMs and engineers.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams.
- Work on expanding our design system.
- Run user interviews, usability testing, and lightweight research experiments.
Requirements:
- A portfolio of interaction, UX and visual design work.
- 5+ years experience designing at scale in interaction, product, or UX/UI design.
- Experience working on large scale financial consumer-experience app products (1m+ MAU’s).
- Experience working on complex experiences that support or integrate multiple distinct products or services.
- Deep technical Figma expertise.
- Familiarity with AI-powered design tools.
- Strong user instincts.
- Strong ability to influence roadmaps.
- Proven ability to lead lean experiments.
- Strong design advocacy skills.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Experience designing within and scaling a modular, tokenized design system.
- The ability to prioritize competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated use of AI in the performance of your role
