Job Description

EarnIn is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team and contribute to their Early Bets initiatives. This role is crucial for providing new experiences and products to EarnIn's users, ensuring they have a comprehensive ecosystem of solutions. The ideal candidate will excel in ambiguous environments, defining technical solutions and collaborating with Product teams to refine requirements.

The Senior Backend Engineer will design and implement new features, architect and maintain microservices integrations, and ensure scalability and performance. They will also proactively identify and mitigate risks, mentor engineers, and develop test automation.

What this role involves:

• Designing and implementing new features.
• Architecting and maintaining microservices integrations.
• Collaborating with Product teams to define technical solutions.
• Ensuring scalability and performance.
• Proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
• Mentoring and guiding engineers.
• Developing test automation.
• Debugging and troubleshooting production issues.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams.

What we're looking for:

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience working in microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language.
• Strong expertise in SQL databases.
• Experience in fintech or building 0-to-1 products.
• Hands-on experience with continuous integration and deployment tools.
• Experience in functional and integration testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
