Chatham Financial is seeking a Manager for its Loan Data Extraction team in Chennai, India. This role involves leading a team responsible for reviewing and extracting data from real estate source documents to model debt portfolios for clients. • Lead the Loan Data Extraction team.
• Collaborate with internal team members and stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with internal team members and other stakeholders.
• Complete internal training modules.
• Create and monitor Quality metrics.
• Create and maintain updated documentation.
• Focus on process improvement and automation initiatives.

Requirements:

• Post Graduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• 10+ years of experience in financial document processing, credit analysis, loan operations, or a similar field.
• Proven experience leading a team and managing extraction or operations projects.
• Strong understanding of loan structures, credit agreements, and key financial covenants.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools used for data extraction (e.g., AWS Textract, Google Document AI, Kira, Hyperscience) is a strong advantage.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team while ensuring quality and adherence to processes.
• Precision is critical when extracting loan terms, interest rates, borrower details, and covenants to avoid costly errors.
• Familiarity with credit agreements, promissory notes, and term sheets helps in accurately identifying and interpreting relevant data.
• Efficiently inputting data into systems without mistakes ensures smooth downstream processing and compliance.
• Spotting inconsistencies, missing information, or potential red flags requires an analytical mindset.
• Ability to convey complex ideas and information (verbally or in writing) to internal team members and other stakeholders.
• Experience working with institutional real estate data or clients is a plus.
