Technical Services Engineer, Portworx

Job Description

Pure Storage is seeking a Technical Services Engineer to join their team in Bangalore. This role involves analyzing, troubleshooting, and supporting large-scale customer deployments in public and private clouds. The engineer will provide technical expertise during all phases of Portworx deployment for key customers, own and track customer issues, and resolve support cases across all severity levels.

The Technical Services Engineer will work with customers and partners to understand and troubleshoot their deployments, application workflows, and workloads. They will collaborate with the engineering team to analyze logs, reproduce customer issues, and develop strategies to address them. Proactive and clear communication, both internally and externally, is essential for ensuring customer success. The role also includes participating in pre-sales calls and assisting with customer installations during POC and production phases.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and support large-scale customer deployments.
• Provide technical expertise during all phases of Portworx deployment.
• Own and track customer issues using a ticket tracking system.
• Answer and resolve support cases across all severity levels.
• Work with customers to troubleshoot deployments and application workflows.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to analyze logs and reproduce customer issues.
• Communicate proactively and clearly both internally and externally.
• Participate in pre-sales calls and assist with customer installations.
• Share and document knowledge via FAQ/KB articles.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or related experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in customer-facing, technical support/SRE.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes/Docker/Tanzu/VMware container solutions.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud technologies.
• Experience with DevOps tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Terraform (a plus).
• Proven ability to resolve customer problems and escalations.
• Ability to triage issues and escalate them to appropriate engineering groups.
• Fluent in English with clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work in an open office, team environment.
• Willing to work shifts and on-call rotations.
