Rocket Lab, a global leader in launch and space systems, is seeking a Software Build Engineer to join its GNC team. This role is based in Auckland, New Zealand. The Software Build Engineer will be responsible for the continuous integration and deployment of avionics, ground systems, and production software for Rocket Lab's GNC Launch team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a software development environment, with a focus on build, continuous integration, and deployment of software. Experience with embedded software development and associated tools is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Automation of building, testing, and distribution of software.
  • Continuous integration and deployment of avionics, ground systems, and production software.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a software development environment with a major focus on build, continuous integration, and deployment of software.
  • Experience with embedded software development and associated tools.
  • Linux and Windows system administration skills.
  • Experience with Git, Redmine, and Jira.
  • Experience with Team City, GitLab CI, or other build systems.
  • Experience with make, Bazel, cmake, automake.

Nice to have:

  • Scrum experience.
  • Docker or Kubernetes experience.
  • Experience with web and cloud software build and deployment.
  • Network security knowledge.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Chef, Puppet, Salt, Transform, or other provisioning system experience.
