Job Description
At-Bay is seeking a Risk System Developer to join their Decision Engine Team in New York. This role is crucial for ensuring the production quality of At-Bay's core underwriting engine, which directly impacts billions of dollars of exposure. The Risk System Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build new products, scale decisions, and implement risk initiatives.
Role involves:
- Building rating and rules engine from scratch.
- Developing new features and automations in the rules engine system.
- Partnering with Risk units, Insurance Product, Underwriting, and Technical teams.
- Implementing, QA, and troubleshooting risk initiatives.
- Validating changes prior to deployment.
- Optimizing model/infrastructure design and release cycle.
Requirements:
- Experience in actuarial, insurance product management, risk analysis, or similar fields.
- Working knowledge of rate plans, referral rules, and underwriting logics.
- Experience with DMN.
- SQL and Python proficiency; Java experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Driven, organized, and a team player.

- A salary range of $100,000-$125,000 per year.
