Rocket Lab is seeking a RF Engineer I - Manufacturing to join their team in Auckland, New Zealand. The RF Engineer I - Manufacturing will play a crucial role in the manufacturing of RF communications and navigation systems that support Rocket Lab’s launch vehicles. This role involves working closely with RF test engineers and manufacturing engineers to develop robust manufacturing solutions using lean principles in a high-growth production environment.

The RF Engineer I - Manufacturing will also establish/maintain appropriate test rigs and work instructions, drive New Product Introduction, and monitor and support the production process. The ideal candidate will need to adapt quickly and thrive under pressure to meet tight project deadlines.

What This Role Involves:

  • Developing and maintaining test rigs.
  • Creating and documenting test automation software.
  • Applying Design-For-Manufacture.
  • Reviewing and giving feedback on test plans.
  • Resolving production non-conformances and sign-off on work instructions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Communications, RF, Mechatronics).
  • Experience testing RF components and systems.
  • Experience as a Manufacturing, Production, or Process Engineer.
  • Proficiency in RF test and measurement techniques.
  • Expertise in creating test scripts and automated tests using Python.
  • Strong communication skills.
