Rocket Lab is seeking a RF Team Lead – Ground Segment to lead a small team of engineers and technicians in Auckland, New Zealand. This role involves the design, development, verification, maintenance, and operational support of ground-based RF communication and navigation systems for launch vehicles and satellites.
Role involves:
- Leading and mentoring a team of engineers and technicians.
- Acting as the product owner and subject matter expert for ground station solutions.
- Overseeing the development, installation, and commissioning of new ground stations.
- Ensuring appropriate maintenance and support strategies are in place.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (electronics/communications/RF or similar).
- 5+ years of relevant technical and team lead experience.
- Proven ability to apply fundamental RF knowledge.
- Proven ability in verification and validation including development of test plans, setups and procedures for complex RF systems, and experience with component, sub-system and system level testing
- Extensive experience operating RF test equipment.
- Knowledge of IP networking.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
