Software Engineer

Job Description

Addepar, a global technology and data company, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team in Geneva, Switzerland. This role, known as a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), involves partnering directly with key technical and strategic counterparts at Addepar's largest enterprise engagements. The FDE will operate with autonomy to drive change for Addepar's customers, working in small teams with minimal supervision to set priorities and lead client interactions.Responsibilities:

• Building custom data integrations.
• Extending platform capabilities.
• Leading complex projects and client relationships.
• Collaborating with teams across Addepar's engineering and product organization.
• Turning lessons learned into scalable solutions.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a professional Software Engineer.
• Proficiency with one or more object-oriented programming languages (Java and/or Python preferred) and/or compiled language (Go, Rust, Scala preferred).
• Experience building systems with Relational or NoSQL database storage.
• BS+ in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or other highly technical field paired with software industry experience.
• Ability to lead complex projects, relationships, and timelines.
• Excels working in a cross-disciplinary team/environment.
• Experience in one or more strongly typed server-side programming languages (ex: Java, C++) (Plus).
• Experience with distribution storage & execution frameworks (ex. Arrow, Spark, Flink, Storm) (Plus).
