Solutions Engineer (Cooling)

Job Description

Runwise is seeking a Solutions Engineer to spearhead the expansion of their cooling product line. This role positions the individual as the in-house expert, directly engaging with potential clients to optimize their utility spending on centralized cooling systems. The Solutions Engineer will collaborate with the sales team, conduct on-site assessments, and provide product feedback.Runwise is a climate-tech startup focused on energy systems in buildings, reducing energy usage and carbon output. The Cooling Product, launched in the summer of 2024, is poised for wider adoption.Responsibilities:

• Answering technical inquiries about the cooling product.
• Analyzing system diagrams to support sales pitches.
• Participating in technical sales presentations.
• Conducting pre-sales walkthroughs of customer buildings.
• Serving as the internal "voice of cooling" across departments.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with cooling systems or HVAC.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Science, or related field.
• Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and control protocols.
• Knowledge of cooling towers, chillers, and roof top units.
• Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills.

This is an in-office position at Runwise's New York City headquarters, with monthly travel expected. The role offers the chance to impact carbon emissions reduction.
